Day 1 Casablanca
Get acquainted with the distinct architecture and European flavour of this famed city. For those who arrive early, be sure to discover one of the largest mosques in the world with the tallest minaret or take it easy with a glass of sweet mint tea in one of the many great cafes.
Day 2 Rabat/ Moulay Idriss
See monuments spanning the history of Morocco, including the delightful Kasbah des Oudaias, on a walk through Rabat's old quarter. Spend the night in the sacred hilltop town of Moulay Idriss. Once forbidden to non-Muslims, the picturesque medina offers an excellent insight into traditional Moroccan life.
Days 3-4 Fes
Explore the Roman ruins of Volubilis before lunching in Meknes. In Fes, explore winding alleyways, see the local tanneries and enjoy a sunset over the bustling medina.
Days 5-7 Chefchaouen/ Tangier
Explore the medina or hike above the town for amazing views. Grab a dinner of fresh bread and fish in seaside Tangier.
Days 8-9 Marrakech
Discover spectacular Moorish architecture and tropical gardens. Leave time to soak up the sights and sounds of the souqs.
Day 10 AroumdEnjoy hikes and get acquainted with local customs in the High Atlas Mountains.
Day 11 Ait Benhaddou
Watch a golden sunset paint the graceful Ait Benhaddou kasbah in deep red hues. Enjoy an optional cooking lesson from local experts.
Day 12 Zagora
Embark on a journey towards the mighty Sahara, through the lush Draa Valley and on to Zagora - a small oasis town perfect for an overnight stop en route.
Day 13 Sahara Camp
Travel along rugged mountain ranges, through seas of sand and past the occasional oasis of date palms. Investigate an ancient library filled with manuscripts and discover the green-glazed pottery of Tamegroute. Ride camels across the sand at dusk and spend the night under the stars.
Day 14 Taroudannt
Travel through the desert to a red-walled town. Browse the souq overflowing with Berber wares.
Days 15-16 Essaouira
Explore markets and galleries, shop for trinkets or try the myriad delicacies.
Days 17-18 Marrakech
Watch the action in Djemaa el-Fna or visit the Koutoubia Mosque and its spectacular minaret.... |
