Day 1: Casablanca
Arrive in Casablanca at any time.
Day 2 Rabat, Fez (B)
Journey to Morocco's capital, Rabat. Enjoy a guided tour of the city before our visit to Volubilis, and onwards to the fascinating imperial city of Meknes.
Day 3 Fez (B)
See quintessential Morocco as you discover the maze of streets in the medina (old city), the leather tanneries, and the former Royal Palace.
Days 4-5 Merzouga (2B,2D)
Journey through the Atlas mountains towards the Sahara Desert. Discover the desert landscape and the secrets of the Sahara as we head to our comfortable nomad desert camp by 4x4. In the morning, enjoy an invigorating sunrise excursion by camel into the dunes.
Day 6 Todra Gorge, Tineghir (B,D)
Travel through stone desert to the superb Todra Gorge, a canyon 1000 ft high, cut into the pink and green walls of the High Atlas mountains.
Day 7 Dades Gorge, Ouarzazate (B,D)
With its towering red cliffs, crystal streams and lovely oasis, a visit to the Dades Gorge is a great way to start the day. Journey along the “Route of a 1000 Kasbahs” and marvel at the Taour/irt Kasbah.
Day 8 Ait Benhaddou, Taliouine (B,D)
Explore the world famous UNESCO site of Ait Benhaddou. Once seen, this wonderful mud brick kasbah will not be forgotten.
Day 9 Taroudant, Imouzzer (B,D)
With its ochre coloured city walls and charming souks Taroudant begs to be explored. We continue through traditional Berber villages with their small fields of crops, orchards and beehives, to the village of Imouzzer, where we visit the nearby “Bridal Veil” waterfalls.
Day 10 Essaouira (B)
Head for the Atlantic coast and the charming town of Essaouira. Explore narrow alleyways filled with interesting shops, or perhaps spend your time enjoying the sandy beach. In the evening, why not take the chance to seek out some live music.
Days 11-12 Marrakech (2B, D)
Enjoy a walking tour of Marrakech followed by a calèche ride (horse drawn carriage) to Djemaa el Fna Square where we take dinner at one of the many open air food stalls in this, the fascinating heart of the city.
Day 13 Depart Marrakech - Departure (B)
After breakfast, time free. Transfer to Casablanca airport for departure flight.... |
